Ayushman Bharat

Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY-provides a cover of Rs 5 lakhs per family per year for sec. & tertiary care. Over 1.08 crore poor & vulnerable entitled families ( = 5.5 crore beneficiaries approx. ) PMJAY will reduce hospital expenditures due to which 6 crore people are pushed to The Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was launched in India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23, 2018. The scheme aims to provide free access to healthcare to 500 million poor and marginalised population in the country, and is touted as the world’s largest government-sponsored healthcare programme.

Parvarish Yojana

Parvarish Yojana, a scheme by Bihar Government for children in need. This is a foster care scheme framed by the Bihar government to provide grants to families and organizations taking care of orphans, deprived and some group of disabled children. The administration at the state capital has been taking the task at hand very seriously and its implementation has been quite a success. By March this year, it is expected that about 1000 children in Patna would have been identified and the grant would be available to them.

Coronavirus

Working with the Bihar government, in June 2020 MSF opened a 100-bed temporary hospital for COVID-19 patients at Patliputra sports complex in Patna, the first of its kind to be fully managed by MSF in India. The World Health Organization (WHO) is working closely with global experts, governments and partners to rapidly expand scientific knowledge on this new virus, to track the spread and virulence of the virus, and to provide advice to countries and individuals on measures to protect health and prevent the spread of this outbreak.
